Well, the store officially reached 1,000 reviews. Pretty awesome stuff if you ask me. The store has come a long way since it first got started.
It has been a really fun project, but all fun things eventually come to an end. Updating the store has been completed. All of the listings on The Store have gotten totally overhauled visually. In the process I also went through and did some updates to the Analytics for the site as well to help boost traffic. And I have to say, I am already seeing a difference.
Here are how some of the photos turned out.
The friend of mine that was very happy to help in this endeavor was my friend from church Mercedes Morgan. She is a professional photographer here in Austin. She does special events, family portraits, weddings, and the like. I definitely recommend checking out some of her stuff. Her skills with the camera are very clean and I am thinking my family will be hitting her up sooner than later for some family photos for the dining room.
I have been busy updating the store on Etsy. Although I still have a lot to update for each listing on the store, I am a lot closer to finished than if I had just started. I am really happy with how the photos turned out. A friend of mine from church helped me on that front.
As for the music…
I spent this morning updating the music section of my website. Rather than just having a hyper link in the navigation bar that sent you to an entirely separate site, I have integrated all of the music from my tour days into the site with the use of bandcamp embedded HTML.
Although I have decided to not do an update on the store until all of the photos for every listing are complete, I wanted to write a quick post letting everyone know what is coming up.
A sneak peek… if it were.
One of my friends from church is an epic photographer. With that, I have outsourced to her with the need for updating the photos for the listings on the Etsy Store. This is what she has sent thus far. These are clean, crisp, and eye catching. I am excited to get the store totally updated. Once the photo shoot is complete the store will be getting an entirely new visual overhaul with her help.
With that, be on the look out. Because, soon the store is going to be looking jam-slam. And until then… this is the only sneak peek you will be getting. The next time I post about this, it will be because the store has been totally updated with new and improved professional photography.
That’s pretty cool if you ask me. If you haven’t been to the patch store yet, go check it out.
I am having a Labor Day Sale over at the Etsy Store. Come on over and check out this great deal while it lasts. The holiday weekend will be over before you know it.
Last week I posted a blog about updating the analytics for my Etsy store to help increase traffic. It was a major undertaking, considering the fact that I have something like 60 listings. While I was in there doing all of that silly boring work on each listing to help generate more traffic, I decided to change up the look and feel of the store as well. All of my listings got totally revamped.
And with that, I just wanted to announce that all of that hard work over the course of last week paid off. The traffic to my store has tripled and seems to be staying consistent. With that, I woke up this morning to having reached more than 2,500 sales. That’s pretty cool considering the store is only about a year old. I don’t remember when I started the store, but I am pretty sure it was close to around this time last year. Looking back on it and the three patches I started with I am surprised at how much the store has grown.
I wonder what it will look like this time next year…
I just wanted to give a real quick store update. I have been hustling on the store upgrades. I finally have the embroidery patches and button-pins totally updated. It feels good to have the bulk of the work completed. I am very happy with how the look and feel of the store is coming together.
You will also notice that those business cards finally came in. I am happy with how they turned out. I got them for two reasons. One, to pass out when the opportunity randomly arises. But mostly, I got them so as to help generate traffic to the site via the store by adding the card to my outgoing orders.
The next major store related task is going to be the screen print punk patches. Once I get that portion of the store updated to match the rest of what is going on, I will be done messing with it for a while. I don’t know if you noticed or not, but as a designer I am a stickler for continuity and consistency. With that, I have still yet to take the new photos for my punk patches. I still have yet to decide how I will do that while keeping the same theme going.
If you haven’t already, be sure to go visit the store and take a look at the updates that have been going on.
Well, the store reached 600 reviews. That’s pretty cool if you ask me. If you haven’t checked out the patches and pins I am pushing yet, I think you should swing on by and give them a look see. If at least 600 people think they are review worthy, maybe there actually is something to it.
