Random, and yet a long time coming

Well, in a way this is somewhat random. And yet, it has been a long time coming I suppose. In recent years (mostly the last year and a half), I have been getting a lot of my news from alternative sources like, youtube, podcasts, and other none-mainstream news outlets. As a result, I have been listening to a few podcasts at work. And I have decided that perhaps this is something I could get into doing.

I am officially going to be starting a podcast.

The thing that finally tipped me over the edge and prompted me to take the leap has been a few things. One, a large percentage of what I post on this site is perspective based outlooks on current events in either the space and science arena or the geopolitical world. I tend to lean toward having a view based on my stance as a Christian. With that, the other thing that prompted this decision is the fact that a few major things happened in the science world this last week that I was surprised to find no one else touching on in the alternative outlets.

Two examples of what I am talking about would be the earth footage licensure of 1992, and the AADHAR refutation update.

With that, the podcast will mostly be a reflective podcast that highlights current events in the world from the perspective of an Enclosed Cosmology, Young Earth Creationist, Protestant Christian that prefers the KJV bible. Obviously, the podcast will be called “I Must be Ignorant”, or something to that effect.

After all, it is a fitting title, considering the host… right?

I am not sure when this thing will take off or how often I will post to it, but currently the goal would be for it to become a biweekly podcast on current events. I had a friend from church line me out with the right editing software along with mic and accessories. At this point I am just waiting on the mic and stuff to come in the mail. In the meantime I plan to hash out an intro among other things.

 

Illegal to post footage of earth from space?

According to SpaceX, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration recently told the company to apply for a license for its cameras equipped to the rocket. A federal law passed in 1992 requires commercial spacecraft taking images or video of Earth to have this license, but it’s an unusual demand considering SpaceX and other private space companies have already streamed footage of Earth from orbit a number of times before. Plus, the NOAA is typically preoccupied with studying the climate rather than monitoring commercial satellites. So what gives? One theory is that SpaceX’s high-profile launch of “Starman” in CEO Elon Musk’s Tesla this February could have caught the NOAA’s eye.

You know… I can’t help but wonder. Could it be in the slightest, a possibility that stricter regulation of such footage may be a result of discrepancies between everyone out there posting footage?

What about this above footage that shows one entire half of the earth containing zero water? It could just be ignorant ol’ me, but I tend to side with the possibility that these discrepancies are beginning to become a little bit of a problem for the one percent.

Got’a lay down them regulations… you know.

Who are we kidding, right? I’m ignorant.

China’s First Space Station Is Dying

Well, it’s official. This junk is legit. But, don’t take my word for it. CNN covered it for us. Regardless of what they had to say I want to point out just a few simple little things.

And yet, magically… just one day before it is supposed to crash they lock on to it with such precision that they capture its re-entry on camera?

The graphics are so good, they didn’t even bother adding solar panels to this thing. It’s pretty much the most majestic thing I’ve ever seen.

Number three: climate change – global warming advocates need not apply.

Rocket Launches Damage Ozone Layer, Study Says. Plumes from rocket launches could be the world’s next worrisome emissions, according to a new study that says solid-fuel rockets damage the ozone layer, allowing more harmful solar rays to reach Earth.

Now, when I was a kid the ozone layer was a pretty heavy topic. It was a big factor in the “climate debate“.

With that said, I have a questions regarding this third thing. Why aren’t any of these radical eco-friendly protesters attacking NASA, ESA, or SpaceX? Seems like they would be a relatively large player in the current scheme of things, if you ask me.

Then again, it could just be a scheme.

You’re going to march against Trump, but not against the people that are physically punching holes in the very thing that keeps radiation out?

Seems legit, people. Seems legit.

In conclusion, space is real. I know this because of three things. One, we conveniently find what we can’t find when it’s convenient (if that makes sense). Two, reenactments are very convincing. And three, what Trump inks with a pin is destroying out oxygen… not the giant quarterly hole punch NASA and its sister companies make on the regular.

Whatever… rant over.

Well, the store officially reached 1,000 reviews. Pretty awesome stuff if you ask me. The store has come a long way since it first got started.

Tiangong-1 crashes to earth – April Fools

According to the following USA Today article, the Tiangong-1 is set to crash to earth on April Fools. Sounds like pretty exciting stuff, if you ask me.

With that said, I challenge anyone to show me a real photo of the Tiangong-1 in deep space. All you are going to find is either CGI, cartoons, or miniature models. The thing that I find funniest about it is that none of these illustrations or models seem to show the exact came craft. They are all modified in one way or another.

April Fools… it’s real.

Eyes to the heavens in suspense

A while back on September 23rd of last year some super epic stuff happened in the heavens in relation to Revelation 12. I posted a few blogs leading up to the date as well as afterward. It was a pretty awesome thing to see happen in my lifetime for sure, as a Christian. It was exciting to me, at least.

Anyway, being the kind of person that I am… I occasionally look at my SkyView app on my phone just to see where things are at in the sky. And honestly, I will probably be doing it more often now that I have a new Nikon P900 (plans to try capturing pictures of Jupiter’s moons and Saturn’s rings in the near future).

Having said all of that, I was looking at the SkyView app this week and find it pretty hilarious to find Jupiter where it currently resides. Ironic enough in fact to share it here.

According to Astrogaph, in astrology, Jupiter is the planet of faith,  hope, and morality. I find that rather hilarious, considering the fact that Virgo the virgin gave birth to him last year.

From Latin Iuppiter, which was ultimately derived from the Indo-European *Dyeu-pater, composed of the elements Dyeus and pater “father”. Jupiter was the supreme god in Roman mythology. The Greek Pantheon of Jupiter recognized this celestial body as the king of the heavens (you know, Jesus being born from a virgin or something because he is the king).

Anyway, I think you get the point. So, here is the new thing that I found ironic this week.

Of all the places that Jupiter could have gone after being born of a virgin, it found its way toward Libra. Libra is a constellation who’s name is Latin for weighing scales. It is fairly faint, with no first magnitude stars, and lies between Virgo to the west and Scorpius to the east. In the bible scales represent, among other things, judgement.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. – Revelation 19:11

Having said all of that… I find it rather hilarious that the bible says that the sun, moon, and stars are for times, seasons, and signs. And here we have the King of faith and hope being born of a virgin… and then moving right into judgement. I could go even further by pointing out the fact that Scorpio is right there… but I will save that for a later post, as this post is already a little lengthy.

Sun rise from more than 250 miles high

Okay, so I have an honest question. You have on record people like Bill Nye, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Carl Sagan, and others such as Stuart Clark… a well-known astronomer stating that you can irrefutably see the curvature of the earth by merely climbing a mountain or even taking a ride on an airplane. First off, the tallest mountain in the world doesn’t even exceed 6 miles in elevation. As for an airplane, commercial grade planes generally stick to an altitude of around 6 to 8 miles high.

So… here is the question.

If I can see the curvature of the earth at only 5 to 8 miles in altitude as suggested by the most brilliant minds of our time, then why is it that the following footage from the ISS exists?

According to science people (you know, the ones that do our thinking for us), the International Space Station maintains an altitude of more than 250 miles. I don’t know about you, but that sun rise definitely looks like it is taking place against a rather horizontal line.

And if you want to argue that the footage isn’t form the ISS, then here is where I got it from. This video was published by NASA on March 5th, just yesterday. They spend the duration of the video interviewing the ISS with some school students. And then, boom… they decided to close with a shot of the sun rise from the ISS while showing the solar panels in the bottom of the shot. The footage in question starts at roughly the 21 minute mark.

If I can’t see the curvature at 250 miles in altitude, what in the world makes people like Bill, Neil, Sagan, and Stuart so adamant about observing it at the 5 miles mark?
